Weeks 3 and 4

With the move to Durham coming up next week, it has been difficult getting these online. So for you baby junkies, here they are, at long last- new pics of Meredith.

Be warned, these pictures are so adorable, your head just may explode.

Week 2

Here are some new pics from the Smith household. She is definitely becoming more alert and focusing on objects. She's also eating a lot more having increased her intake to 3-4 ounces every 3 hours. This week, her Aunt Sarah paid a visit for a first meeting (along with Pop and Susie). Even though raising a daughter is difficult and time consuming, Nancy managed to put together an awesome cold cut spread with homemade chicken salad with strawberry shortcake for desert...yum.

Meredith chills out in her new swing.

Sarah gets to spend some time getting to know her new niece.

Today, Meredith had a period of super alertness and calm. I took advantage of the situation and snapped about 30 pictures. She is already showing signs of genius.
What is the square root of 25?
How many atoms are in a hydrogen peroxide molecule?
Who is the president of the United States?
I just pooted, daddy.

Week 1

Her first week is past and Meredith is developing quickly. She is eating more, is more aware of her environment, and looks at her surroundings constantly. She is lifting her head like a champ also.

Meredith gets some much needed Tummy Time.

I thought this scene was hilarious. All 3 ladies of the Smith household were zonked out at the same time.

Nancy and Meredith spend some quality time together in the nursery.

Everything is still going well. Here are a few more select pictures of you know who.

Meredith in a cute dress lying on the Boppy pillow.

She is adorable when sleeping. Don't believe me? Check out the next picture as well....

Told you so!

Her big sister, Knox, thinks that she is very interesting.
