This weekend, the Smith family traveled to Morehead City for a vacation. Meredith had a great time and did well with the 3 1/2 hour car ride. We installed a portable DVD player and when Elmo came on in the car, she looked at us in wonder, as if to say..."are you kidding me??? ELMO in the car!"
This weekend saw Meredith's first trip to the NC aquarium and also her first beach experience. She had a blast at the aquarium, running from tank to tank. The beach was fun, but you could tell that Meredith didn't know how to walk on sand comfortably.

Meredith bounced from fish tank to fish tank and enjoyed seeing the fishies, turtles, and sting rays.
She got a good look at a live alligator...who got a good look at her as well.
Phew...walking around sure is tiring...I guess I'll hop on mommy for a while...
This picture was taken outside on the nature trail. It was a bit chilly, but very scenic.
Later that day we met up with "Jerry for dinner at Raps, a local restaurant.
The next day we made our way to the beach....it was kinda cold, so we didn't stay long.
